If you did a image search for a photo of Man Ray's called Prayer, you would see a most delicate image of a woman's hands cradling her derriere. She is evidently kneeling on the floor - but the orientation of her spine and head puzzle me. I set about a series of drawings with the intention of reverse engineering her (probably Kiki Montparnese) posture. The important thing is not only to reverse engineer a probability but to arrive at a satisfactory image that is itself, delicate and prayerful.
