A Ridiculous Painting

This is the ridiculous painting I made reference to some days ago. It's a wonderfully painted painting: lots of free brushwork, each square inch meticulously attended to, and it's chock full of symbolism. Is it patriotic? Is it an allegory of spring? Is is about prayer and abundance? Note the speckled snake along the bottom of the painting (an allusion to Sherlock Holmes' story of the speckled band?) and behind her head, in one of the blue fields, a crescent moon and between the moon and her head, a green star. It's a lovely painting.
