assorting

We can learn a lot from nature. Every line nature makes is good - not because nature has some internal genius, but because nature lets itself be: no erasing, no fear in its lines. Nature is joy and authority - every line is the Right line, and it is the right line because it is made within it's own self. Nature is not out to please anyone else. This is why a splatter pattern is always looking right; why rain drops fall down the window just right. The rectitude is from the energy producing, from the process, and not in "getting it right." Every color is right, every composition is in place and filled out.

When I paint, I am the wind; I am the sun light warming the porch; I am rain splattering off the side of the house.
